Erie has historically been a city completely locked into thinking that is 30-40 years old. Given Rick Filippi's involvement with this debacle, it doesn't surprise me that Big Ed is involved in it as well.

While the climate is a serious detriment to the area, Erie still has huge potential given its proximity to major cities as well as a beautiful state park and reasonably priced housing. Yet, city fathers (and mothers) try to improve the city in often bizarrely impractical ways.

Then again, this is the place where fluoridated water was one of the most difficult decisions the city has ever faced merely a few years ago.

Finally, the local news crews have improved their depth on the bench. However, Erie is merely a temporary gulag in the career of a young attractive reporter as they move on to bigger and better things. Just look at Rebecca Hower...
