Stating the cold, hard facts is not the same as taking cheap shots. Claiming that the only thing we need to change are people's perceptions is a way to avoid doing the hard work of solving our underlying problems. And as I've said before, too many people running the show in this town are too invested in what's been done previously to admit that it has failed. I don't know what it will take to convince them.
